CTPAT – Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism

  • The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a Supply Chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chain with respect to terrorism.
  • C-TPAT program is to ensure seamless supply chain security – from foreign suppliers to American consumers.
  • As a partner to the U.S. authorities, we check companies exporting goods from China to the United States.

The CTPAT MSC structure is divided up into three focus areas: corporate security, physical and people security, transportation security. TUV is accredited to conduct the CTPAT audit on Globally level. In addition, we have globally specialists who provide multidisciplinary expertise on a wide range of auditing and certification services in key markets.

CTPAT Members must conduct and document the amount of risk in their supply chains. CTPAT Members must conduct an overall risk assessment (RA) to identify where security vulnerabilities may exist. The RA must identify threats, assess risks, and incorporate sustainable measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.
